This Wild West-themed visual features Kehlani and T-Pain
The rapper has confirmed quite a bit to his fans about his personal life in the past few months, from stating he missed out on potential collaborations to telling his fans he single-handedly destroyed music. The revelations of the Auto-Tune inventor led to an outpouring of support, and many imagined that new music would be released sooner rather than later.
It was just last month that Kehlani and T-Pain collaborated on the infectious single “I Like Dat,” which sampled the Florida star’s classic Epiphany cut “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”. A track like this celebrates independent, assertive women, which is something that can be appreciated by all.
Christian Breslauer directed the clip for “I Like Dat” which places the artists in a Wild West setting, beginning with T-Pain cruising into a town selling “drank” to intrigued locals. Pain is able to persuade the men there that if they use his product they will attract women (or something of that sort), which is successful quickly. T-Pain and Kehlani had performed a saloon performance before the two abruptly ended the rouse and escaped town with his newly acquired wares.
Before “I Like Dat,” T-Pain managed to work with Chris Brown on “Wake Up Dead” and tackle civil unrest back in 2020 – just as he was to take part in an early “Verzuz” matchup with Lil Jon. The sixth and final of his official LPs 1UP reached landfall in 2019
