Take A Listen to Cleveland Artist, Freshie & His Dazzling New Album, ‘Ready or Not’

The evolution of Hip-Hop has been an intriguing one to watch. What started off as boom bap raps at the park has turned into a form of self expression that even the biggest of enthusiasts couldn’t have predicted. In turn, the genre has provided us the soundtrack to a generation that has witnessed 9/11, a pandemic, multiple wars, a Black President and overall major civil unrest. That soundtrack is sometimes aggressive, it’s sometimes ratchet, it’s sometimes serious, but it’s always us. Looking to add his contribution, rising Cleveland artist, Freshie delivers his brilliant new album, Ready or Not.

Clocking in at 12-tracks and 28-minutes, Ready or Not is a melodically explorative album that finds Freshie doing it on his own, vocally, for the duration of the project. Instead opting for in-the-moment producers such as Mathaius Young, SuperDuperb and more, he combines with these artists to make his best project yet.

Citing standouts such as, “Phone Ring,” “Dirt” and, “Let’s Do It,” Freshie eagerly showcases improvement in his ability to completely command a record. Using his vast melodic arsenal as well as an improved pen, he brings together all of his talents on the project’s two best songs, “Be Alone,” and, “Old Me.” Both tapping into his surprisingly extensive vocal range, these two records seemingly paint the listener a great picture of both Freshie the artist, and the man.

Check out the project below and get familiar with Freshie.
