Salt Lake Songstress Phobia The Great Turns in Her Energetic New Record, “Love Me”

Whether its positive, negative or anything in between, energy is contagious. That notion is multiplied by thousands when you factor in the connection between artists and their listeners. Hailing from Salt Lake City, rising artist Phobia The Greatest knows about this all too well. Harnessing enough energy to fuel a power plant, the ascending songstress has built a buzz behind her head-banging releases. Looking to take it further, she checks in with her eclectic new video for, “Love Me.”

Directed by Anthony Ryan Johnson, the video for, “Love Me” first finds Phobia sitting on the floor of a checkerboard room carrying an automatic weapon prop. From there, the video does a brilliant job of showcasing her unique look by simultaneously going between close up head shots and body shots accompanied by wavy visual effects. Produced by, 1DBthePlug the combination of the production, vocal patterns and visual effects almost immediately remind you of Playboi Carti. This is what they call a Trojan Horse, though, as once the verses start she completely showcases her own style. Utilizing her highly infectious vocal tone, she sounds much more comfortable over the production than many who have tried their hand at it, making for one of the more intriguing single releases in the last month.

Be sure to check out the video below and get familiar with Phobia The Greatest.
