Rucci delivers highly anticipated album “Tako’s Son”
The new wave on the West Coast is really exciting to watch. Artists from all different cities and ethnicities are gracing our speakers and playlists. If you haven’t heard of the one and only Inglewood Rucci, well I feel bad for you. Anyone from the city will tell you he’s one of the most exciting and hardworking rappers out the LAnd.
On August 1st I attended Rucci’s sold-out show at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood and I honestly had one of the best times of my life. You would have had to be in the room to understand the energy and excitement on everyone’s face. I know Rucci was even more excited seeing all his supporters and fans chanting his music word for word.
For Rucci, it’s way bigger than just himself, he has family and friends who rely upon and look up to him. Money and fame change people but not Rucci, he will always remain authentic and bless the streets with timeless records.
As for Tako’s Son, “La Bamba” and “Keep Going” were pre-released tracks that show Rucci’s vulnerable side and turn up side we all know and love. Throughout the album, we get a balance of both and each track flows right after the next. One thing I love about Rucci is his storytelling. When you hear his raps it makes you feel like your right there at that moment with him.
This is Rucci’s most personal project yet while also showcasing his versatility through production and showing he can ride any beat and have fun doing it. The A-List features include – AzChike, Lil’ Duece, Shoreline Mafia, 1TakeJay, Kalan FrFr, RJmrLA, and even some words from producer Romo on “Get Away.”
You can only admire and respect what Rucci and the West Coast are doing right now. It’s much more ahead for the Inglewood star but in the meantime, go stream Tako’s Son and support the movement.
