How Super-Producer Mike Crook is Making a Name for Himself in the Music Industry

Los Angeles producer Mike Crook is best known for collaborating and producing some of your favorite artists’ best songs! Working with such names as Doja Cat, TY$, Blueface, G-Eazy, and more, the last two years have been remarkable for Mike, skyrocketing him to the charts and into listeners’ ears. From working on YG and TY$ latest album, My Life 4Hunnid, and TY$’, Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, it seems Mike’s destined to be where he is now.

Producing has proven lucrative and rewarding, with platinum records for his work on hit songs such as Doja Cat’s “Like That,” featuring Gucci Mane, and Blueface’s “Daddy,” featuring Rich The Kid. The producer and talent have done phenomenal things within the last year — producing and collaborating with talent such as Bryant Myers “24/7,” G Eazy’s “Hate The Way,” featuring Blackbear, and his 2021 Spanish hit with Ovi featuring, Myke Towers, Ñengo Flow, and Aleman “Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren,” garnering millions of streams for the talented producer.

Growing up, his background was not always musically inclined. Mike was trained to play football, specifically by his father.

“I decided to pursue music about three years after my dad passed away,” he said. “He passed away in 2011. The following year in 2012, my cousin told my mom he went to a medium (which is a person who can communicate with the dead) and she was really spot on with things. My grandma, My mom, my sister, my aunt, and myself all went to go try it out not thinking anything.”

As far as what happened next, Mike received his confirmation that music was what he really was meant to do.

“I went in not believing anything she was going to say, then I was shocked that she was saying things only my dad and I knew,” he said. “I wasn’t even confirming with her if things were true or false, just listening to things she was saying my dad was communicating. She was saying things word for word my dad used to tell me. At one point in the reading, she mentioned my dad was telling her that I should stop playing football, and pursue music.”

So without hesitation, Mike picked up the equipment and made beats and ultimately stuck with it — resulting in a fruitful career that has provided him with opportunities to grow and work with icons in the music industry.

The producer’s most recent upcoming release is his work on Saweetie’s debut studio album, Pretty B*tch Music, which is set to release April 16.

With credits from Blueface to Doja Cat, the possibilities are endless for who Mike Crook will work with next, but regardless, it is sure to be a hit. The young starlet is making his way up the charts and will soon be a household name across the world.
