25 Producers You Should Know (PT.1)

Producers build the foundation and create the sounds we hear behind our favorite music artists, commercials, films, tv shows and much more. It’s endless amounts of beats you can make but your creativity is what will make you different from your peers. Here on OnThaRizeMag we started a platform for producers called “Producer Kredits” that highlight the hard work and achievements that seem to go unnoticed. We pay attention to the artists but producers definitely do not get the credit they deserve. A lot of the times you find producers who are also artists and vice versa. The whole point is producers are important and they deserve their flowers also.

We are back with another piece for 25 Producers You Should Know following the first one we did back in December. Get familiar with many talented producers below. *No Particular Order*

What City Are You From? Mid City, Los Angeles

When Did You Start Producing? I began producing in my sophomore year of high school in 2012.

TOP 3 Songs and/or Projects You’ve Produced?

Top 3 projects I have produced/produced on (no specific order) starting off would be my first album, Bang America 3!, that will be available on all platforms this upcoming Cinco De Mayo. Executive produced by me, mixed and mastered by the bro Naif, this album will feature talented artists and producers. Each track is its own vibe.

The second would be a single my best friend Barry Emerica and I produced for Na-Kel Smith named Demon Slayer. Released on SoundCloud in 2017, the song is almost reaching 100,000 plays, which would bring us to the first 100K milestone. Besides the organic growth of the plays, coming together for this song was on some real family shit . If you know, you know.

The third project would be on my boy Rawbone’s tape with CRASHRARRI titled Rawri – EP. I co-produced track 3, Poptarts. Be on the lookout for the music video also. Love to the bro Rawbone for getting me involved.

Who Are Your Biggest Inspirations?

My biggest inspirations in music include A$AP Yams, Nipsey Hussle, and Dj Quik. Throughout the years in music, I spent a lot time studying the three figures respectively. Each person I named has a distinctive trait that I allowed to influence my approach to this field in both creative and business aspects. Last but not least, my grandmother and Aunty Shammy (Rest In Peace) are my inspirations in overall life. Being of BangLAdeshi origin, the creative arts isn’t recognized as a legitimate career path yet. My purpose is to break that norm and show that this music shit can change lives for the better. I also need to have my granny sitting presidential in a Maybach as well! That’s on Allah!
