Northwestern Rapper S’ahli Releases His Lyrically Driven New Project, ‘Light It Up: The EP’

Portland isn’t necessarily thought of as a hotbed for Hip-Hop talent. But if native, S’ahli has anything to say about it, that might change. On his new project, Light It Up: The EP, he puts on for his city.

Though short, the project is dense in spirit and message. As a lyricist, S’ahli is ahead of the game, bending his cadences and voice to fit certain rhyme schemes without seeming too pretentious. With his overall message centering around the fact that he’s challenging himself to not be a victim, I believe the climate for this EP is more fitting than ever.
