Osbe Chill has been on our radar since the early part of 2018. Just by hearing his first couple of singles, I knew that if he stayed focused and motivated he would be climbing the ranks in LA’s underground scene. In November, he released his project F.T.V.B. (From The Very Bottom), which is a representation of sleepless nights, long days, and hard work.

Osbe is a true spitter and nothing but REAL runs through his bloodstream. His music is empowering, honest and exhibits the meaning of what Hip Hop is. The West Coast rapper has spent the last months putting together his newly released LP DAWGMA via MyMixtapez. I know the year isn’t up yet, but this will definitely start of the conversation of Album Of The Year.

Already at over 16k streams, DAWGMA showcases Osbe’s versatility while still staying true to that classic West Coast sound. Including a feature from a West Coast legend The Game.

RizeMag: For those who don’t know you, who is Osbe Chill and what are some “fun” facts about yourself that you want to the world to know?

Osbe: Fun fact about me I’m a real musician , I play trumpet and piano. Rap is my second love.

RizeMag: What’s your story on how you got into the music industry? And who or what are your influences?

Osbe: I started out with nothing and it was either rap or jail/death for me so I decided to use all the energy from the struggling in the streets and put it toward my dreams of being a rapper one day. How I got in the industry – just believed in my self and the right people noticed.

RizeMag: What would you say separates you from other rappers in the industry?

Osbe: What separates me from other rappers today I would say is I really love what I do I think most rappers today lost the love for HIPHOP.

RizeMag: If you wanted people to really know who you are as an artist, which record of yours would you tell them to go listen to?

Osbe: I would tell them to listen to “People Change”. It’s the story of my life betrayal and disappointment is all that I was giving. Makes me feel like that’s the reason why god is blessing me today.

RizeMag: You seem to have a close friendship with rapper The Game, tell us a little about it and what’s some of the best advice he has given you?

Osbe: The Game is really my best friend he showed me so much in this industry. The best advice he’s giving me is to believe in myself and trust no one but god.

RizeMag: Before you begin recording music, what helps you get in your zone?

Osbe: I’m always in the mood to do music but if I was to say what gets me in my zone is real life situations that I have no control over, music helps with that.

RizeMag: Your new project DAWGMA is out now, tell us a little about the creative process working on the album and how/why you picked the name DAWGMA?

Osbe: The process was easy I envisioned what I wanted to present my self as to the world and got to work. The name came from a book my dad gave me years ago called “MORALS & DOGMA” and it’s basically about principles of life and I felt like that’s what my project “DAWGMA” is for me the principles of my life.

RizeMag: Would you say this is your best music to date?

Osbe: Definitely the best body of work so far.

RizeMag: Favorite track or tracks and why?

Osbe: “Enjoy One Another” ft. Game of course because it’s legendary lol. And “People Change” because it’s the soundtrack to my life right now.

RizeMag: Lastly, looking forward do you have a specific goal or goals you want to meet for this year going into next?

Osbe: Just to be alive and continue to grow all around, musically and spiritually.
