Los Angeles Crooner, GILLIA Delivers His Catchy New Single

Hip-Hop is in the best place it’s ever been, bar-none. Some may say that they preferred the boom-bap driven sounds of the 80s and 90s or they may even fancy the early 2000s era of bling, but either way, those are all available today, and then some. With a spectrum of sounds that span the world, Hip-Hop is a buffet of both good and bad, leaving for us to syphon through it ourselves and stumble upon gems like L.A. rep, GILLIA, and his infectious new single, “Look Away”.

Buoyed by spacey synths, infectious vocal runs and a surprisingly dense pen, “Look Away” sounds perfectly fit for today’s mainstream sonic landscape, only it carries a bit more substance than some of the popular songs with this sound. Utilizing his impressive vocal range to help drive home some of the lyrics, “Look Away” is a very solid single, and hopefully an indication to more music in the near future.
