Lil Baby decided to join the family of George Floyd at the White House

Lil Baby made the decision to join the family of George Floyd at the White House on May 25, while they continue to push for police reform, though it has been one year since his murder.

There were several pictures and videos shared on social media that showcase the Quality Control emcee placed behind members of the Floyd family and their attorneys, while they talked to the press regarding the incorporation of the George Floyd Policing Act .

This is not the only time that the rapper chose to connect with the family. Last December, he made the decision to sponsor the entire birthday of George Floyd’s youngest daughter called Gianna Floyd.

In the celebration, there was a socially distant L.O.L dolls-themed party that was hosted at Atlanta’s Pink Hotel. Gianna was provided with an opportunity to get both her nails and hair done with  her friends and was blessed with colorful decorations and food.

On May 25, the family of Floyd met with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Floyd’s brother, Philonise Floyd, spoke to the reporters, exclaiming that the meeting with Biden and Harris was great, adding that the president was a genuine guy. He also claimed that they always speak from the heart and that he was thankful for the opportunity and wanted the passing of the George Floyd Policing Act.

Previously, Biden pushed for lawmakers to pass the bill before the one-year anniversary of the death of Floyd, which was May 25. But even now, the legislation remains unpassed, since the Congress members continue to battle regarding ending of police immunity, and thus, making the cops accountable.

Brandon Williams, Floyd’s nephew, stated that Biden told the family that he was disheartened by the fact that the bill wasn’t passed by his first deadline and explained that he is in full support of the bill, though he wishes to ensure that the bill is right and is not rushed.
