Las Vegas Singer, papichuloteej Debuts His New Name & Single

Name changes in music are frequent. Often, they’re connected to a pivot in creative direction, sometimes they’re due to legal issues with a trademark and other times, it could just be a spontaneous decision to do something fresh. For North Carolina to Las Vegas artist, papichuloteej (FKA: Teej), it was more likely connected to the latter as he continues to give us the same dope music with his new single, “Getaway Driver”.

Produced by Seoul, the production behind the single is acoustic and minimal, perfect for teej to exhibit his signature croon along with his easy-to-relate to lyrical direction that explores him looking to getaway with his love, attempting to escape his problems.

With a new name not changing the obviously solid direction that he’s been heading towards, it stands to reason that the change could be a good thing—giving the rising star a bit more flare and comfortability to propel him to the next level.
