Las Vegas Rapper, Bennett Returns With His Introspective New Project

On the surface, it could seem like Las Vegas is the hardest place to be sad. I mean, c’mon, look at all lights, glitz and glamour of The Strip. Look how everybody is taking Instagram Stories in the club–there’s no way anybody could be sad there… right? Wrong, as soon as those people leave the club, they’re empty, and they’re just looking for some validation like the rest of us. On his surprise new mixtape, Exp.001, Las Vegas native, Bennett perfectly captures this essence and puts into song form.

Although the project is short, 16-minutes to be exact, the impact of it’s contents are bound to last much longer than that. On songs like, “Cobain,” the talented artist speaks about the daily process of living becoming a drag, especially without his lady, while on, “I Remember,” he opts for minimal production and hefty wordplay as he speaks about a love gone lost.

Carrying the ability to produce and write his own records, Bennett exudes more of a creative confidence than most, and it’s evident on this project, highlighted by his willingness to experiment with odd sounds, cadences, lyric choices and more.

Press play on Exp.001 below and get familiar with Las Vegas’ newest export.
