Las Vegas Native, Jay Grindz Drops Off His Engaging New Project, ‘Sincere’
There are many different qualities that are important when trying to be a good person, but one of the most has to be sincerity. The ability to be sincere with people stands as one of the more essential traits to have for the simple reason that if you can be truthful with somebody, no matter how hard the news, there’s room for both parties to come out better because of it. Hailing from Las Vegas, rising rapper Jay Grindz understands this notion perfectly, as he checks into our pages with his reflective new project, Sincere.
Clocking in at 9-tracks, Sincere is an engaging album that finds Jay at a crossroads with much of his thinking. Touching on topics like love, deceit, triumph and everything in between, he takes his time over the 25-minute project to really bare his soul and speak to the listeners. Produced mainly by Bem, the project benefits from the apparent chemistry between him and Jay, as the duo connect to shine on standouts like, “Sincere,” and “2 Many Times.” On the latter, he spends time on the record pondering over what went wrong in multiple relationships, looking to somehow progress past constant character flaws, while on, “Sincere,” he realizes that some of these flaws may not be solely the result of his own doings. In all, the project does a great job of showcasing a more sensitive side of Jay, who’s mainly known for his go-getter music.
