Over the last few years, rising Las Vegas rapper Cabrera has been eagerly cultivating his sound, releasing singles sporadically to check the temperature. While for some artists, that tactic can result in losing the attention of fans, while for Cabrera–who’s a member of bubbling Las Vegas band, The Noir Movement–this has resulted in anticipation for him to release at more of a rapid pace. After already releasing a well-received single this year, he checks into our pages with his second drop of the year, “Miss Educated.”

Clocking in at around two-and-a-half minutes, “Miss Educated,” is a thought provoking, fully fleshed out record that finds Cabrera completely baring his soul. Touching on topics that range from suffering for success, family woes, working hard and everything in between, the Sin City native sounds completely comfortable over the record, doing a brilliant job of delivering such poignant verses without ever sounding like he was venting or complaining. Over the Jeremy Elises production, Cabrera proves his prowess as an emcee while featured vocalist, Zhou does a wonderful job holding court in between, delivering soulful vocals that tie everything together.

Take a listen to the single below and get familiar with Cabrera.
