Indiana Native Richie Bux Unveils His Long-Awaited New Album, ‘Walker, Texas Dranker’
Unless you grew up under or a rock or in Gen Z, there’s a large chance that you’re at least vaguely familiar with Chuck Norris. Known as one of the most dangerous men alive, Chuck Norris grew to fame as a bankable action star, most notably headlining Walker, Texas Ranger. Hailing from Indiana, one might be quick to think that rising Rap star Richie Bux isn’t part of Norris’ demographic, and one would be quickly proved wrong. Looking to pay homage to the him and his iconic show, Bux returns to our pages with his infectious new album, Walker, Texas Dranker.
Walker, Texas Dranker is a 14-song project that finds Richie showcasing his embarrassment of riches when it comes to his talent. Throughout the project, he switches through styles at the drop of a hat, seemingly looking to invent a new cadence whenever he gets bored of one he just utilized on the previous record. Highlighting his insane lyrical ability, he spends time on tracks like, “The Game,” and “Streets So Cold,” putting his storytelling prowess on display, while songs like, “Magic,” and “Hundred Thou,” find him stepping up his charisma as he further develops his chemistry with fellow CMB members Chuck Brilliant and Silent313, respectively, who also serve as the only features on the album. With Richie highlighting an array of talents throughout the album, the lack of features is probably the most endearing quality, as it allows the listener to fully get familiar with Bux. Featuring production from PERFECT10, Saltreze, AK and more, the project is mostly reliant on Bux’s chemistry with his consistent production team.
