Get Familiar With Los Angeles Lyricist Cashus King & His Introspective New Single, “Heaven Man Earth”

In terms of what it means to everybody individually, music has to have the most vast of spectrums when it comes to forms of media. For some, they choose to indulge in music for a celebratory or festive manner, while for others, music serves as a vessel for thought-provoking notions that can help progress them mentally. Hailing from Los Angeles, rising emcee Cashus King largely makes music for the latter category, often opting to prod at your brain rather than the movement of your feet. Looking to further establish himself as a lyricist of note, he drops off his engaging new single, “Heaven Man Earth.”

One of the most immediate things of note when engaging with the record is the long runtime. Clocking in at 11+ minutes, “Heaven Man Earth,” goes for far longer than most contemporary rap records, but never feels as if it’s overstaying its’ welcome. From the absolute jump, Cashus establishes the essence of the record, opening the single with the line, “is there a kingdom in the sky? Something I’d only believe if I seen it with my eyes,” over angelic piano runs. From there, he continues to keep pace with thought-provoking lines such as the above mentioned, before sharing duties with Jeff Johnson. Sharing a storied collaboration history with Jeff due to their affiliations with the Dirty Science Crew, this record serves as further evidence of their rare chemistry.

In all, the 11-minute single does a brilliant job of keeping you engaged as Cashus and Jeff showcases impressive lyricism over production that doesn’t feel too pretentious. Check out the single below and get familiar with Cashus King.
