Dj Premier teams up with Wale for new song “Why Would I Stop”

Today (July 30), Mark Ronson released his acclaimed documentary Watch The Sound on Apple TV+, and the soundtrack is no less than expected. There are names like Paul McCartney, Diana Gordon, Jonsi, Gary Numan, King Princess, Santigold, Kathleen Hanna, on the soundtrack. One particularly notable contribution is the collaboration between DJ Premier and Wale on “Why Would I Stop”. The song features Wale talking about the ways he’s different from everyone else:

Over the decades, DJ Premier has established himself as a great Hip Hop artist. The Narcissist, a newly released track, is an artist collaboration with Brady Watt and Westside Gunn. The following year he was also behind the boards for “Megaton 10”. Prior to that, in 2020 there was “ooh la la,” featuring Greg Nice and Run The Jewels.

With his newest single “Angles” featuring Chris Brown, Wayne has a summer smash on his hands. In the last few months, Wale has been a featured artist, lending his rap talents to a number of hits by artists like Queen Naija, Skip Marley, Rotimi, THEY., Pacman da Gunman, EARTHGANG, Omarion, and Westside Gunn. In addition, he recently released two singles of his own: “Flawed,” which features Gunna and a mysterious Young Thug, and “Good Vibes (Za).”
