Baddoll Checks in With Her Bouncy New Single, “Emergency”
Thanks to a handful of breakthrough artists, Dancehall music has finally started to make it’s way into the hearts of American’s all over. Due to this, we’ve seen a surge in the genre being propelled on radio waves, award shows and everything in between. One of Dancehall’s hottest young stars is Baddoll, who has cultivated a fan base on the back of a handful of festive singles and an impressive work ethic. With all of that on lock, she checks into our pages with her engaging new single, “Emergency,” to solidify her spot.
Produced by Touchgrung Inc, the song lies on the back of his daunting drum kicks and constant rhythms, setting the table perfectly. Taking advantage of this, she showcases his stout flow, switching through different rhyme patterns and infectiously comparing a traditional emergency to one of a sexual nature. Touching on a relatable feeling, she spends the rest of the record expanding on this topic and highlighting her abilities as an emcee. “The song is more of a storyline. My intention was to make it a Valentine’s Day prelude. However, this song is not your typical “love” story,” says Baddoll, “it speaks on the risky “lustful” nature within a relationship. The song is described as an ’emergency’ that compares the conflicting feelings of fantasy.”
