Atlanta Artist Tristan Drops Off His Engaging EP, ‘Nomad’

The journey towards making it in the music industry is often a long, grueling process for many. Still, the love and passion for the craft is often what keeps artists going, with the select few who can stand the process left standing towards the end to reap the benefits. Hailing from Atlanta, rising artist Tristan is shaping up to be one of those artists. After spending sometime learning the game through working as a tour drummer, he most recently stepped out and started releasing songs of his own. Looking to maximize his reach, he checks in for the first time with his impressive new EP, Nomad.

Clocking in at 22-minutes, Nomad is a 6-track EP that finds Tristan eagerly introducing us to who he is. From the start of the project, opening record, “She,” introduces what makes him special as a songwriter. Showcasing sharply crafted, evocative melodies, he excels at utilizing atmospheric, focused instrumentation that neatly blend influences from an eclectic mixture of genres. Continuing, “Bring You,” is wistful and evocative, while presenting an undercurrent of excitement and anticipation that underpins this EP. Songs like, “The City,” and “Reckless,” present more hard-hitting offerings that showcase his versatility, bringing in heavier, powerful sonics that draw from hip-hop, rock, and more. Closing tracks “Tide,” and “Tape,” bring the ambiance back in with expansive, layered instrumentation and memorable vocals.

Take a listen to the EP below and get familiar with the Atlanta native.
