Asad ILL drops new project “43rd Pl & Degnan”

Los Angeles rapper Asad Ill delivered his second solo project, 43rd Pl & Degnan in dedication of where he grew up and his journey thus far. Asad has been exposed to music from a young age. He tells us, “I wrote my first rap when I was 5. My dad owned a studio growing up and beats, so at an early age, I was trying to pick up the pen. His vivid storytelling and motivational mindset is one aspect as to why you should tune in to his new project.

Asad thrives to be the greatest as what he does, drawing influences from some of the greats – Nas, Jay Z, 2Pac, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West. “I feel like when I make music, these are the artist I’m competing with, so it pushes me to create on a higher level.” He spits his truths and the harsh realities of growing up in Los Angeles. He flows on each and every track over melodic production. A few features on the project include Airplane James, Cam Gnarly, Tru, and WhosFree.
