AQ Drops Off a Summer Jam With New Single “TOP 10” featuring L.A. Higgz
AQ is an LA artist bringing in the heat this summer. The former basketball player-turned-emcee is back with another banger in the form of his single/visual “Top 10.” The dance-inducing track was produced by his longtime friend Joog and was AQ’s first time ever rapping on an “L.A. beat.”
“Joog is established as a producer already so this was a first for me,” AQ said in a recent interview. “The energy in the room was electric & we made a banger.”
On the 3-minute long song, AQ makes it clear he’s looking for a good time not a long time when it comes to a rendezvous with his female interests and partying during the summer in Los Angeles. “TOP 10” was also released alongside a visual where audiences can see AQ and his crew living it up, drinking and partying by the pool in a huge mansion alongside beautiful women.
“[I] wanted the record to represent the night, LA in general, people to dance and a piece of my life,” he stated, and the visual does just that. His latest single sets the tone for and shows viewers how to have a good time this summer.
AQ has been dropping music since his 2017 debut project Transition and the progression he has made since then within his artistry can be heard in “TOP 10.”
“Just like with basketball, it took time to actually cultivate my sound and for the music to actually sound good,” he said.
He has other notable works such as his 2020 project Intimate Conversation and single “Just Another Lover” featuring Casey Veggies that was released earlier this year. “TOP 10” is the first of many songs he plans to drop ahead of a full length project and touring later on this year so make sure to follow him @aquinn_ on Instagram to stay up-to-date.
