Alternative Hip-Hop Artist Asa2Times Gets Trippy In New “Pasadena Flow” Video

Chicago’s Asa2Times has released the highly-anticipated video for his latest single “Pasadena Flow,” produced by Asa’s partner and fast-rising Chicago producer Shake & Bake and directed and shot by Rambino (Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Rich The Kid, Lil TJay, Maejor). Asa’s newest single follows his collaboration with Dizzy Wright, “Thuggin It Out,” and similar trippy vibes “Amsterdam” and “Ocean Drive.”

The trippy and hallucinogenic visual opens with Asa, his production partner Shake & Bake and a friend making their way to a mansion party and on arrival, they are required to down a shot before coming inside – similar to Matrix blue pill/red pill, etc. Immediately, Asa enters another dimension and makes his way throughout the house, passing by other zoned out partygoers. At video end, Asa and his two counterparts head back to their car, wondering, “What the hell just happened?”

In the veins of Rick James, Jimi Hendrix, etc., Asa2Times, a Chicago, IL native with origins in Nassau, Bahamas, is an artist whose lyricism and infectious hooks sit upon a bed of hard/dark 808s, wavy melodic sounds and other complex melodies that hit hard — especially after consuming a controlled substance. 

Making a name for himself in Chicago (within the radio and club scenes), Asa has gone on to work with stars from the city like Famous Dex, King Louie, Dreezy, Z-Money, D. Brooks Exclusive, and many more, and be featured in constant rotation at Power 92.3 and 107.5 WGCI. Within the last two years of his career, he accelerated his growth and reach with his partner and fast-rising Chicago producer Shake & Bake. After releasing their breakout hits “Whip” and “Yup,” the two moved to Los Angeles to sort through several record label negotiations, finish Asa’s upcoming album ‘MOVIE,’ and continue building his buzz and network in the West.
