According to Black Capitol Police officers, their allegations about racism in the department were not addressed

Currently, a minimum of 12 Capitol Police officers are under investigation for probably playing a role in the attack on the Capitol by providing support to the protestors that day. This news is unsurprising for former Black Capitol Police officers, who stated that the particular department has received many complaints about racism, with one lawsuit having more than 250 plaintiffs. However, Congress allegedly ignored all the complaints.
