District 21 (Storms + Smiles EP)

District 21 is not your normal rapper. His flow bleeds through each record as he drops gems and shares the high and lows of life. “Storms + Smiles” is a story from District’s point of view. Rapping about things we often think about in our minds. His music gives off a different vibe, raw lyrics and exquisite production that will have you smashing the repeat button more than once.

“I fell in love with creativity, my pen was drippin”

– District 21 on “The Good & The Bad”

Mike Dinero (Can’t Stop Won’t Stop EP)

Los Angeles rising act Mike Dinero drops off a festive new EP, Can’t Stop Won’t Stop that consists of bangers to help you get through the quarantine. If you’ve been sleeping on him, this EP will wake you up. His confidence is front and center on each track as he hops in his bag and shows the level of talent he possesses. His sound cannot be duplicated.

“God has a plan so ima plan and keep on giving”

– Mike Dinero on “Hunnid Truths”

Bale (Live From The Trenches EP)

Bale is probably one of the most slept on rappers in LA’s underground scene. He’s a conscious rapper and the way he spits reminds me of Meek Mill. He raps about real sh*t, so real that a lot of what he’s saying might go over your head. When I listen to Bale, I feel empowered and motivated. His new EP is no different, the production is divine and his bars reel you in. It’s deeper than the music.

“And we just wanted them 600&GLES, became accustomed to homicides instead of dreams.”

– Bale on “600&GLE’s”

AzSwaye (The Bird Whisperer EP)

I would hope by now you know who AzSwaye is. The AzCult member recently released a new EP, The Bird Whisperer which includes his frequent theme of using the word “bird” which is pretty funny if you understand the context. One thing about Swaye is that he’s confident and will always tell you how he feels. His voice sticks in your head and he provides plenty of one-liners for your IG captions. Gear up for more heat from Swaye soon.

“I’m knowing I’m the sh*t, give a f*ck what they talkin”

– AzSwaye on “Holding Back”

2 Eleven (Pandemic EP)

Rap veteran and Inglewood native 2 Eleven is still blessing the streets with knowledge and classic records. During this crisis we are experiencing, the heavy spitter dropped a perfectly fitting EP titled Pandemic featuring T.F and D Smoke. He touches on the current state the country is in, conspiracies and much more over production that sounds like it should be apart of a horror film. Each track was perfectly crafted and deserves multiple listens.

“They mention artist from the land ni**a, I’m top 5.. dead or alive.”

– 2 Eleven on “Covid-19”
