Who Should Be On Your Radar in 2020: Part 2
To say I was overly excited with the West Coast music scene is an understatement. W’s should be handed out across the board and many artists showed off their creativity and leveled up from the previous year. We even got introduced to new artists who created their own lanes. We surely had our hands full trying to keep up with the endless amount of music and projects that were being released weekly.
Here is Part 2 of our #WhoShouldBeOnYourRadarin2020 list. Enjoy.
Fat Meech
Fat Meech has and is building a loyal fan base. His biggest record “Brothers” surpassed over 1 million streams on Soundcloud. The song is very relatable, it’s just one of those records you could play back to back. That lead to the “Brothers 2” release this year that is also doing numbers across major streaming platforms. Fat Meech isn’t just an artist, he’s a business man also and he understands what it takes to be successful. Another highlight of this year was his school tour across LA in which he gave out money and other goodies. Look out as he will carry this momentum into 2020.
Dudadamthang
Dudadamthang is special is so many ways. This year he has dropped some of the coldest freestyles via Instagram that will give you chills while listening. Lyrically, Duda is one of the most gifted MC’s I’ve heard in a while without even really dropping music. You can hear the pain and emotions when he spits, it’s like he’s doing it with his eye’s closed. You can also hear the hunger in his voice but everything takes time and Duda’s time is coming and when it does, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Let’s hope he gifts us with a project in 2020.
Vinny West
Vinny West has had tons of success over the past few years, No Face No Case and Too pLAyer are well over 4 million streams on Soundcloud, but he has so much more to accomplish. I still believe he is slept on and people are not giving him the credit he deserves. His energy is infectious, and rather you are playing his music through your headphones, hearing it at a party or watching his perform live – you will turn up no matter what. He has hit after hit under his belt and it’s definitely more to come. A huge accomplishment to end the year is Vinny performed at Rolling Loud Los Angeles this past weekend.
4L Javi
4L Javi has been consistent throughout the whole year. He dropped his project “4 L” earlier in the year that featured all bangers as well as his most recent “Joint of the Year” EP where he kept the hits coming. He switched it up a couple of times giving us some slower jams while showcasing his versatility. He has a knack for hits and he impressed release after release. As long as he continues to stay consistent, 2020 looks to be a big year for him.
A9E
A9E doesn’t have to do much promotion to get his music out there. His talent just speaks for itself. “IX” and “Cold Smoke” are two projects he dropped this year that you definitely need to go listen to. From beat selection down to his infectious hooks, his music is universal and it’s a little something for everyone to enjoy. His confidence level is over the top and he knows how to get people’s attention. Let’s hope he carries this success into 2020 and has a big year.
