Long Beach is a staple in hip hop, past and present. A new wave of talent is still keeping the momentum going, and that’s where we get to JPThaRuler, who’s music is sure to keep you on your feet. If you go through his music catalog you will find endless bangers including his viral record “38” produced by DJ TRAY. The record is damn near close to 1 million streams on SoundCloud and it’s just a matter of time before it hits that mark.

A couple of months back he released his “38” mixtape in which we were able to hear his witty wordplay and youthful energy. It’s definitely more to come from JPThaRuler and you should keep him on your radar. Check out our interview below to learn a little more about the rising rapper.

Rizemag: Tell us who is JpThaRuler? What are some things about you that people may not know?

• Jptharuler is probably one of the coolest artists you’ll meet. And I fw seafood heavy I’m the oldest sibling of 8 kids lol I’m also a big anime and wwe fan “ DBZ MORTAL KOMBAT WWF I like to use em in my raps

Rizemag: Who were some of your favorite artists growing up?

• Chief Keef, YG, Wiz Khalifa, Hurricane Chris, Drakeo The Ruler 

Rizemag: Your record “38” is close to 1 million streams on Soundcloud, did you expect the song to take off like that?

• Hell Nah honestly I didn’t even want to drop that song till I played it for a couple of people and they liked it lmao this shit still unbelievable.

Rizemag: How would you describe your sound? – Different

Rizemag: You recently joined the 8K Productions team, how did that come about?

• I believe by fate everything was in the right place at the right time. We met down then the rest is history. 

Rizemag: Do you freestyle or do you prefer to write down your raps?

• Actually both it’s just whatever my heart feeling, every song different.

Rizemag: You dropped “38 The Mixtape” not too long ago, do you feel like a lot of people support you? Whether it’s other music artists or people in general.

• Yes I got the best support from my fans they held it down and I forever love them for that. And got something special for every true supporter.

Rizemag: What can we expect next from you?

I’m about to take off. And make history.
