Los Angeles based artist Dreebo starts the year off right, silencing the haters with his sensational album Everybody Loves Dreebo. The countless hours he spent in the studio putting together each track shows from start to finish. He reminds me of Kendrick Lamar because of the way they both are able to create original content that is hard to duplicate.
On the opening track “Fix Yourself, ” Dreebo sends a message to the people who always attempts to tell the next person who and how they should be instead of getting their sh*t together first. Like this track, many of the other records on the project are lyrically-driven and honest about being consumed with things that really don’t matter that much. Focusing on yourself and following your dreams is what’s most important.
Each track carries it’s own theme, Dreebo stays poised and delivers with catchy wordplay and an infectious flow that will be blasting through your speakers. TF, Dae, Bale, and Brookfield Duece lace a couple tracks with impressive verses as well. I’ve listened to a couple projects this month but this is by far a standout.
