#TakeAListen: Ljay Currie – “Free” EP

Many artists tend to just follow trends because it’s hot at the moment, and because of that, we have a set of artists who all sound the same. When your “different” and actually take your music career seriously, those artists seem to be put on the back burner and many times are often underrated. Ljay Currie is setting the bar high by taking a more open minded approach and taking his music to a new level with his first EP, “Free.”

The Motown Records signee has been hard at work perfecting his sound and the wait was definitely worth it. He sets the mood early with the opening track “Undercover” featuring singer Kiana Lede. Laced with harmony, Ljay speaks on hidden love story. Following that track is “Shot You Don’t Take“, to talk to a girl can be a hit or miss but at least you took that shot. “555” might just be my favorite track, with just the right amount of energy and rhythm you’ll be rocking out to this joint.

You won’t regret pressing play on Free. Look out for new visuals and music from Ljay.
