Rising from the streets of New York, Zel Omar is back with his much awaited album titled, Perfect Timing.
Following the success of his 2020 EP, No Days Off” backed by trendy tracks like 2020’s “MVP” and this year’s “Need You“, he really set the tone. Overall, his new project is packed with the dark, edgy, and passionate sound that his fans have come to know and love.
Perfect Timing
Perfect Timing is the culmination of a streamlined and precisely crafted eight-track album. Although the masses can enjoy Zel Omar’s signature characteristic sound, consisting of stormy 808s and melancholy synths, real fans will recognize that it is his unparalleled lyricism that makes each track on the new project so intriguing.
Growing up in New York around the birth of hip-hop, Zel Omar was surrounded by a world-class music culture at a young age. Enabling him to be exposed to a plethora of worldwide hitmakers and producers to hone his craft. Since the tender age of 10, Zel has been penning three records a day. At 13-years old, he began recording the tracks he wrote under the direction of Public Enemy’s, DJ Johnny Juice!
The Beginning
In 2014, he expanded his talents and founded Domination Entertainment LLC. A media production firm dedicated to assisting new and aspiring musicians with many elements of music production. As he perfected his passion, he began working as an engineer in one of NYC’s hottest recording studios in 2017. Resulting in collaborations with artists such as: Rich The Kid, Dave East, Famous Dex, Akon, Lil Yachty, Playboi Carti, Desiigner, Jay Critch, Wyclef Jean, Smoove L, and others. These experiences provided him with significant opportunities to improve his production techniques and to learn new engineering skills.
Zel Omar uses each record to tell a unique and complicated story. Sharing passionate and authentic stories about his hardships, tribulations, and journey as an independent artist. From the exotic and distinctive title track “Perfect Timing” to the smooth, floating, and relaxing feelings of “Trying,” Zel Omar displays his refined technical experience and great lyrics in an album that is complete, multifaceted, and impressive.
