“Freshman 10 (Freestyle)” is the latest release from Big Sean
The Big Sean project now celebrates its tenth anniversary. Last year’s LP finally famous featured 12 tracks, featuring Chris Brown, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Roscoe Dash, John Legend, Wiz Khalifa, and Chiddy Bang. Detroit emcee’s album reached the number three spot on the Billboard 200 due to 87,000 first-week units as well as popular singles like “I’m On It”
As of today, Big Sean has released the remastered version of Finally Famous (10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), which includes Nicki Minaj’s collaboration as well as an unreleased track titled “Freshman 10 (Freestyle)”. In the music video “Freshman 10”, Westen Weiss, Daoud Anthony, and Hit-Boy portray Sean’s inclusion into 2010’s XXL Freshman class, which included the likes of fellow veterans J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Freddie Gibbs, Nipsey Hussle, and Jay Rock:
Detroit 2, Big Sean’s fifth album, featured 21 tracks with contributions from many artists, including Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Jhené Aiko, Travis Scott, Young Thug, several other hometown heroes, and loads more. With Detroit 2 becoming Sean’s third number one on the chart, we can safely say that he is still one of the biggest emcees in the game today – a decade after his debut.
