The new single from Majid Jordan features the phrase “Been Through That”

We haven’t heard much from Majid Jordan, the duo consisting of singer/producers Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman for quite some time. OVO Sound has released a brand-new track and visually stunning visual titled “Waves of Blue” featuring the duo. With the release of “Been Through That” today (June 18), the band continues the momentum. Majid Jordan imagines better days ahead as he begins the track: 
 
Upon releasing a debut EP in 2013, Majid Jordan raised eyebrows, ultimately gaining attention from OVO Sound. Majid Jordan’s sound rocketed into the mainstream and led to their signing with OVO Sound later in 2013 following their work on Drake’s 6x-platinum smash “Hold On We’re Going Home”. In 2014, they released their initial EP A Place Like This. The full-length followed in 2016, and it was a surprising and powerful experience. 
 
Their personal reflections on the song were given quite a bit of detail. In spite of the verse that sounds like a direct address to someone, Majid Jordan says that he has been both speaker and listener in all of the situations discussed in the song. It has been a challenging journey, where we overextended ourselves, burned out, acted for the wrong reasons, but eventually we found our feet and are dancing our way out of it.
