Head to Atlanta & Get Familiar With East Chain Recordings Through Their Engaging New Album, ‘Camp East’

There’s strength in numbers, and that notion rings extra true when it comes to Hip-Hop. Generally known as a confrontational genre, it’s always been welcomed to have large crews of people around you, especially when those people make music and are creative just like you. Collectives like Odd Future, Pro Era and others have proved this in recent years, sparking a family-tree of creatives that spout off and go make their own contributions. Hailing from Atlanta, this is exactly what Michael Aristotle and Will Hendrixs had in mind when they created East Chain Records. Now armed with a roster of creators like Da Kidd Half, Woahitskyle, Mike 24K, HQ Jonez, Kasey Avenues, Flanco Blanco, Eric Montaque Jr. and Iri Brown, they gathered together to create their engaging new compilation, Camp East.

Comprised of 15-tracks, Camp East finds its’ niche by showcasing that aforementioned chemistry. With over 8 artists on the project, including features, it’s not easy to turn that into a cohesive sound. Featuring guest appearances from Money Makin’ Nique, Jaye Newton, BOREGARD. and more, and calling on production from team-members such as Mike 24K and Whoaheyitskyle, the 50-minute project never feels bloated. Instead, vocalists like Aristotle & Da Kidd Half get ample time to highlight their lyrical abilities, serving as the the hosts of the project in a way by keeping the sound on track.

Standouts from the project include, “Hell Yeah,” a bouncy record Da Kidd & Casino Life Prez, “Yo Baby Daddy a J,” which features a scene-stealing verse from BOREGARD. and, “Be Careful.” Produced by Whoaheyitskyle, “Be Careful,” is a fun, engaging record that finds the crew maneuvering in a different direction, sonically. It also has the best hook on the whole project, provided by Salyse, that’s ultimately hard to forget.

Take a listen to the project below and get familiar with East Chain Recordings.
