Remarcus “Vigilante” Steele Is Rising Out Of ATL
Please allow me to introduce to you, Remarcus Steele also known as “Vigilante”. From Flint, Michigan to Atlanta, Georgia is the rapidly rising actor, artist, and model.
The Rise Of Remarcus
As a child, his parents told him that they were moving to Georgia in search of better opportunities and a brighter future. In 2010, shortly after moving to Georgia, Remarcus was first introduced to the art of music production. This came when his mother bought his stepfather his own recording studio.
Coming from a musical family, Vigilante was exposed to the musical ropes at an early age. He also had a cousin who was an aspiring artist at the time who went by the name of “Fatt Kidd”. Perfecting his craft early, Steele became his cousin’s first official producer.
The Vigilante Vision
Creating new beats led to him making up his own motivating rhymes to go along with them. His quick wit and humble demeanor, combined with the catchy beats, gave birth to the “Vigilante Vision,” which he still follows today.
The Interviews
Early in his musical career, he first called himself YLD which stood for “Young, Lyrical, Dreads”. This comes shortly after moving to Georgia where he enrolled in audio engineering college at the age of 19. Since, he has been continuously building his brand with radio tours, doing background acting work, and strip club tours.
Quickly, he made it his personal task to interview at each of Atlanta’s independent radio stations. As a result, he has completed 22 of the 30 so far. For now, check out his Hot 107.9 interview with Erin Rae below:
During that same radio tour, he also got the chance to interview with Debra Antney’s son, Brandon Barnes on the Be100 radio station. Where he ran into Debra as well.
Vigilante has been featured on tastemakers pages such as: Hip Hop Inquirer, Voyage ATL, Celebrity Haute Spot, and more. The rising artist has also been interviewed on Hot 107.9 ATL, Urban Music Report TV, It’s Bigger Than Hip Hop Radio, and many more!
After just a few short years, Vigilante was given a distribution deal with Universal Records to take his career to new heights. Since, the ATL superstar has been staying busy with music and acting.
