Nilla Allin Releases Her Debut EP, “All In”
Ready to take the industry by storm, Inglewood songwriter and MC Nilla Allin drops her debut EP, “All In.” Though she is a relative newcomer to the hip-hop scene, she is anything but a new artist. At age 9 Nilla wrote her first song and, as she grew older, delved into poetry. Nilla eventually combined her two passions when she began rapping in 2017. Her style is defined by her clever and relatable lyrics along with a strong and confident delivery. Nilla’s talent as an MC allows her to transcend genres and dabble in a variety of sounds ranging from the west coast, to trap, to laidback late-night flows.
All In clocks in at 4-tracks. The number four symbolizes wholeness, stability, foundation, and is also Nilla’s line number for her sorority affiliation. The project displays Nilla’s multifaceted approach to songwriting, giving listeners a wide variety of sounds and styles in only a few tracks. Nilla aims to motivate listeners, specifically young women, to start the journey of being “All In”. Being “All In” means becoming the boss that you are meant to be, embracing the beauty that you have, developing the talent you were given, and having some fun along the way.
“This project is a turning point for me because it’s the first step in taking my music seriously. As a kid I grew up rapping around the house, but always kept it a secret. I was afraid the people who mattered most to me wouldn’t support this dream of mine, causing me to be insecure about my own musical talents. The love and support I’ve received from my friends, family, and followers, has given me the confidence to finally consider myself an artist. That extra push is what I needed to finally allow myself to be ALL IN with my music after so many years of hiding it.”– Nilla Allin
